Books I Read in Q1 of 2022
I am sharing the books I read during the first quarter of this year. I give two ratings, Recommend or Couldn’t Put Down. For a book to get a Recommend rating it had to be one I stayed engaged in and thoroughly enjoyed. A Couldn’t Put Down book rating is one I literally wanted to keep reading whenever I could. If there is no rating, the book didn’t meet the criteria to be rated.
My goal for 2022 is to read 50 books. I wanted to set a specific number so I make more time for reading. Reading is an activity that relaxes me. Something I hope to do more through 2022!
Winter Stroll, Winter Storms, Winter Solstice
by Elin Hilderbrand
One of my favorite authors is Elin Hilderbrand. These were perfect books to read over the winter. It is a series of four books. I read the first book in the series Winter Streets in December of 2021. They follow the same family year after year during the Christmas season on Nantucket.

No-Drama Discipline: The Whole-Brain Way to Calm the Chaos and Nurture Your Child’s Developing Mind
by Daniel J. J. Siegel and Tina Payne Bryson
I had read the Whole Brain Child by these authors and heard great things about this book. It was the much-needed inspiration for disciplining my two-year-old. The authors share some of their journey parenting their own kids and make you realize no parent is perfect at disciplining but gives you tips to calm the chaos.

Take Back Your Time: The Guilt-Free Guide to Life Balance

The Dinner List
by Rebecca Serle
I discovered Rebecca Serle last year and quickly read all of her books. This one didn’t disappoint. It also has a different take on any other book I have read. The main character gets to have dinner with five people, both living and dead on her birthday.
