Chicago Wolves Hockey Game

Rosemont, IL

The Chicago Wolves are a minor hockey league that plays at Allstate Arena in Rosemount. Since the boys have an interest in hockey I decided we should attend a game as a family of five. Something we hadn’t done yet. Spoiler alert: It was a success and fun for each of us!

Family-friendly

The best thing about the Wolves game for us was how family-friendly they made it. There were multiple things to do before, during, and after the game to entertain the kids. The boys started out taking a try at the slap shot station.

Next, we made our way around the arena and stopped at the sign-making tables. This got a lot of interest from our oldest who loves to draw.

Outside section 109, there was a Kid’s Zone. This area had stations setup to take pictures with your family and games for the kids to play.

Game Time

We made our way to the seats a few rows off the glass. The pregame started out with quite the firework show. It grabbed everyones attention and thankfully the boys were not scared by the loud noises. We bought multiple snacks, our top priority for our two year old so he would make it through the game.

From getting on the jumbotron, to watching the fights between the players, the hockey game got the most interest from my older two. It was fun to hear Caden say he couldn’t wait to go back to hockey practice because of the excitement the game had given him.

All-Star Slapshot Post Game

I did my research before we bought tickets and discovered I could have the boys join the Skates Mates Kid’s Club. This allowed them each to get a free ticket to the game. Caden was also able to participate in the All-Star Slapshot Event after the game. This included him going out on the ice and taking a shot at the mascot Skates. Score!
