Orange Chicken-A Quick Weeknight Dinner
I enjoy making dinner, but some nights you want to be able to whip something up quickly with little work. The Orange Chicken from Trader Joe’s is one of my favorite easy go-to dinners. The best thing is that it only consists of 3 items: TJ’s Orange Chicken, broccoli, and brown rice. Even better it requires almost no work to make and is ready in less than 30 minutes.
Orange Chicken-A Quick Dinner
1 bag of Trader Joes Orange Chicken
1 bag of frozen broccoli
1 C uncooked brown rice
Preheat the oven to 400. Bring a pot of 2 cups of water to boil, add the rice and have the pot simmer on low with the lid on for about 20 minutes. Place the chicken on a cookie sheet and bake for 20 minutes. Bring a pot of 1 cup of water to a boil, add the broccoli and cover for 5 minutes.
Warm the orange sauce in a bowl in the microwave for 45 seconds. Once the chicken is done place in a large bowl and cover and combine with the orange sauce. Serve the orange chicken and broccoli on a bed of rice.
This Orange Chicken dinner is not only made with little work and in a timely manner, but tastes like take out with half the calories!
