Our stay at Kimpton: The Aertson Hotel
Nashville, TN
- The Kimpton Aertson hotel was our choice for our long weekend in Nashville. After staying at the Kimpton: Journeyman hotel earlier in the year for an adult weekend away in Milwaukee I knew Kimpton Aertson would be just what we wanted for an adult stay.
- The warmth and industrial details in the new boutique hotel were exactly what we were looking for.
What to know about Kimpton Aertson before you visit.
- The hotel is located in the Midtown neighborhood, next to Music Row, overlooking the Vanderbilt University campus and downtown Nashville.
- There are a lot of restaurants, bars, and entertainment within walking distance.
- You will most likely want to take a cab to get downtown. Ubers are easy to grab too.
Accommodations at The Kimpton Aertson
The rooms have industrial touches including concrete ceilings, leather-stiched headboards, and wood details. The small hallway leads to the bathroom with rolling metal doors and the bedroom. The furniture and pieces of the room give a modern vibe.
Amenities at The Kimpton Aertson
One perk the hotel boasts is the nightly happy hour at 5 PM. Located in the front lobby the employees serve up local wine by the glass and appetizers. It was a great addition before heading out for the evening.
In addition, the amenity we used the most was the rooftop pool. Located on the 8th floor of the hotel and features chaise lounges placed directly into the water at the zero-depth entry end. There is also a pool bar to grab refreshments at. This was the perfect place for me to relax and read a book each afternoon.
The Kimpton Aertson hotel was an excellent choice for our couple’s vacation to Nashville.
The location was exactly what we wanted. Not downtown in the craziness and loudness of the Honkey Tonks, but still close enough and walkable to many restaurant options. In addition, the rooftop pool seemed like a must for Nashville in July.
