Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot
Long Grove, IL
This year for Thanksgiving morning I wanted to run a Turkey Trot with the boys. They have gained interest in running and I knew if I brought the double stroller we could all complete the 5K race. Thankfully my sister-in-law joined in the fun with us.

We started out the morning with the boys each running the kid’s dash. This is such a fun add-on All Community Events does. The kids each run a quick dash by age group through the covered bridge and across the finish line.

The kid’s dash isn’t something you have to sign up for before and each kid gets a completion ribbon.

Then we got in the corral for the 5K and waited for our race to begin. I was pleasantly surprised that Caden ran the full race, ahead of us for most of it, and Connor barely took any breaks in the stroller. If you are looking for a race that is family-oriented I highly recommend the Long Grove Turkey Trot.
